In comparison, the major providers charge monthly license fees per user, whereas this is free with Nextcloud in the self-hosted version. Both internally and with external contacts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Calendars and contacts:<\/strong> Shared calendars and address books make scheduling and communication easier.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Integration of external applications:<\/strong> APIs allow Nextcloud to be seamlessly integrated into existing software landscapes, such as accounting or CRM systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong>Practical example:<\/strong> A sales team can use Nextcloud to centrally store offers and contracts, edit them together and synchronize them with the CRM system (customer relationship management system).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Data security and GDPR compliance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Storing sensitive company data with large providers can be problematic in terms of the GDPR. For example, the data protection compliance of Microsoft 365 has been questioned by German supervisory authorities.
